‘Decide’ comes from the Latin root, ‘to cut off from.’
I have a very binary mind… once I’ve decided on something, it’s in the past, I move forward, and I don’t dwell on it.
This massively helps me to have a clearer mind, a mind less cluttered than continuing to revisit past decisions.
We have limited mental bandwidth, so what’s the point of filling it unnecessarily?
