Who’s got it right?

Being grateful for what we have is better than not being grateful.

But even gratitude tends to be combined with “and I can do even better.”

Recently, I visited a family of nomads in the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

They seemed at peace and happy, and they didn’t appear to want for more.

This was despite living on arid, stony ground in tents cobbled together with sticks and blankets.

I don’t have an answer, but it really made us question what, in our Western culture, means we tend to always be striving for better, for more.

Any ideas?
