Things just seem to work out well for some people.
And for others, things never seem to work out.
I was reflecting on why this might be after my meditation this morning…
Things go wrong whether you expect things to work out or not; that happens for everyone, no one is immune to challenges.
However, if you expect things to work out then when things do go wrong you don’t take that as final, you just go with it and carry on, and eventually it works out.
If you expect things to not work out then when things go wrong you take that as proof, and you stop.
The key is to stay open, to not get blocked when things go wrong, because opportunity is limitless.
It’s like in the martial art Aikido… you don’t resist, you accept what is, but you don’t accept it as final, and you go with it.
And eventually, things always work out.
If you keep saying ‘the bad guy won’ and judging everyone who supports them as an idiot, then you are playing right into the ‘good vs evil’ fallacy.
At the South Island Show Jumping Champs late last year, my daughters won the classes they were entered in.
A while ago we were at a horse show. Zara and I walked the course, and I read the jump off and told Zara what it was.
