Generally, to win in the short term we must go all in on one strategy.

We might win, or we might not.

And we might even lose big.

Winning the long games sometimes requires less focus on the short-term games, maybe giving them up, to play a more considered hand.

Winning now vs winning over time are two different games. It’s important to be clear what game you’re actually playing.
