They say the man who is going to live to 150 has already been born.

I plan on being that man!

But regardless of how long we live, we are all mortal. Our time here on this earth is finite.

We only have a certain number of sunrises left.

I’ve been sitting with this recently. It’s sobering but, funnily enough, it doesn’t scare me.

But it does make me appreciate more…

Hugging my daughters when they climb into bed with me in the morning.

Engaging in a deep conversation.

Watching my daughters giggle as they play together.

Looking into someone’s eyes who truly sees me.

Pushing my body physically to feel its limits.

Climbing a mountain.

Showing kindness instead of anger.

Doing the right thing, even if it feels hard.

No one can tell you how many days you have left, how many summers, but it’s worth remembering that it’s probably less than you’d like, so make the most of every one.
