I recently had our fields ploughed and resown to create better grass for the ponies.

In the meantime I’m keeping them on the house lawn, using a couple of sections of fencing.

However, I only have one portable electric fence energiser, so one section is always off.

Recently, they figured they could push through and break the section that isn’t energised. In the absence of buying another energiser I have found that if I move the fence so they have fresh grass to eat, they’re happy and don’t break out.

A metaphor for life and influence perhaps?

We can build bigger, better fences, or we can make things more attractive…
